Maggie

On March 10th, 2023, we added Maggie and her two kids (Jumpolina & Galileo, which are no longer on our farm) to our herd. Maggie is one of my favorites! She is such a sweet, gentle, calm, and docile goat. She is one of my favorites to snuggle because she just lets you hug her and she just leans her head into you gently. This leading to one of the best "therapy" goats on our farm.

In Fall of 2023, we bred Maggie with Captivator (whom is now at another loving home). Surprisingly, Maggie only kidded one HUGE buckling (Cookies 'n Cream). We were certain she was having a minimum of three but we were very surprised when only one buckling decided to birth! We again bred Maggie in the fall of 2024 with Olivier. In spring of 2025, Maggie kidded three healthy babies. Two doelings (Eeny & Miney) and one buckling (Moe)! We decided to breed Maggie with Olivier again fall of 2025 and look forward to seeing the babies they will kid in spring of 2026! Stay tuned for updates on this seasons kidding! Maggie is proving to be an amazing mother, can be a challenge on the milk stand from time to time because she eats incredibly fast, she has great milk production, and is a joy to have on the farm.
